Les fichiers .hqx (BinHex), .sit (Stuffit), .uu (uuencode) et .zip (archive PC) peuvent être décompresses avec Stuffit Expander 5.1.

Pour décompresser un fichier, faire glisser le fichier sur l'icône de Stuffit Expander. Dans l'exemple ci dessous, on veut décompresser le fichier MacGzip 1.0.sit.
Les fichiers .gz sont des fichiers compressés avec l'outil gzip (sous unix généralement). Ils peuvent être décompressés avec MacGzip.
MacGzip se trouve dans * Communication:Compacteurs/Décompacteurs:.
Pour décompresser un fichier, ouvrir MacGzip et chosir Expand To... du menu File. Si votre fichier n'apparaît pas, cliquer sur la case Show all files. Ensuite enregistrer le fichier décompressé.
sea veut dire Self Extracting Application. C'est à dire que le fichier auto-décompactable, il se décompresse simplement par un double-clic dessus !
